Arnica is the most important medicine for removing the bad effects of injury, whether the injury is recent or many years old.
Mental Symptoms Arnica patient remains very sad, likes to stay alone, he does not want anyone to talk to him or come near him. He is irritable, gets scared at the slightest thing, keeps bringing various kinds of imaginations in the mind, he thinks that he has got a serious disease, heart disease. At night he sees various types of scary dreams, thieves, robbers, graves, mud, lightning etc. While sleeping sometimes there is such a pain in the heart that it seems as if he will die immediately, but he never has such pain during the day; those who have had some kind of accident on a train or motor vehicle, often have such a problem in sleep.
One of the amazing symptoms of arnica is that the entire body and limbs of the patient remain cold, but the head remains hot (The head is hot than the body).
The entire body feels so much pain as if the patient has fallen from a place and his entire body has been crushed or someone has beaten his body badly (Sore, lame, bruised feeling all through the body as if beaten) and touching it causes pain, this is its most important symptom. Depending on this symptom alone, various types of diseases can be cured by arnica. In case of injury in any part of the body or black marks on that place, or bone or joint getting dislocated or broken due to falling or getting hurt, the swelling and pain go away very quickly with the use of arnica. If there is a twist or sprain in the buttocks while lifting a heavy thing or bringing down something from a high place (Rhus tox), then arnica will remove that pain very soon. Arnica is also good for fractures of the skull due to injury, convulsions, epilepsy (black spots due to blood clotting inside) along with swelling of the eye (Retinal (Apoplexy), meningitis (inflammation of the membrane of the head), eye haemorrhage with extravasation), bleeding from the nose, bleeding from the teeth etc. If after any type of injury, heart beat problem (Palpitation) occurs, then this will be beneficial.
Even in rheumatism and gout, if this kind of crushing pain is present and the patient does not allow anyone to go near him for fear that touching the painful area will cause pain, then this will be beneficial.
During pregnancy, the entire body of a woman becomes so sensitive that even the uterus and pelvic region become extremely sensitive and even the slightest movement of the fetus causes extreme pain to the mother, and she has to stay awake the whole night. From this, it should not be inferred that the movement of the fetus has increased very fast, rather the woman’s delicacy has increased in this condition. A dose of Arnica 200 potency will remove this delicacy immediately. After parturition, one dose of Arnica 200 will relieve body and uterine pain. Arnica should be used especially after instrumental delivery, as it will protect the patient from septic infection. It is a beneficial medicine for sore nipples and mastitis when women suffer from breast pain due to injury. It is beneficial for urine retention after delivery (Opi).
Arnica has amazing ability to prevent pyemia from polluting the blood. Hence, it is used a lot after injury and after surgical operations.
Due to its great effect on blood, it has been found to be more beneficial in typhoid and typho-malarial fevers. The patient lies unconscious or mumbles in unconsciousness. In such a condition, if he is called and asked anything, he answers the question correctly and then immediately starts talking in unconsciousness or falls asleep (When spoken to answers correctly, but unconsciousness and delirium at once return). This is the indicative symptom in typhoid fever. The patient feels crushing pain in the whole body, the bed seems to be very hard (Everything on which he lies seems to hard), the head remains hotter than the body; defecation happens involuntarily, more blood comes with the stool; and bedsores start appearing on the stools. The symptom of giving correct answer on asking any question to the patient in unconsciousness is also present in Baptisia. The difference is that the Baptisia patient falls asleep or falls unconscious before finishing the answer to the question; very foul smell in the stools and urine is the special symptom of Baptisia and involuntarily defecating and black spots on the body are the special symptoms of Arnica.
Arnica patients do not like meat, broth and milk. It is also a useful medicine in dyspepsia. The patient gets smelly burps like rotten eggs and smelly air is also expelled.
This is an excellent medicine for whooping cough. The child starts crying even before the cough comes, as if he is scared of the pain of cough. It seems that the chest will again get a severe injury due to the paroxysm of cough.
The symptom of feeling extreme pain on touching the injured place is also found in Baptisia, China, Phyto, Pyro, Rhus-tox and Staphysagria. Feeling pain on the side on which the patient lies is a symptom of Baptisia and Pyrogen; pain in the whole body, its increase on movement is a symptom of Phytolacca; Rhus-tox will be especially beneficial if there is pain in the bones, pain on touching and if such pain is felt to be less with movement.
Ruta is also a good medicine for bone pain due to falling from any place. Rhus-tox is used for injury to the ligaments of the joints as a result of injury; Hypericum for crushing of the nerves along with the soft parts of the body, such as the front part of the finger, for crushing; Calendula for the injured area torn and injured; Staphysagria for cuts caused by a sharp thin-edged instrument; Lidum is more useful for pricking by a sharp pointed weapon.
In case of injury, I have always got wonderful results from Arnica of 1000 and 1 lakh potency.
If a patient mentions that it has been many years since I fell from a tree or fell from a horse or fell from a high place and got hurt and this disease started then, no matter what the name of the disease is, using Arnica of 1000 to 10000 potency will give amazing benefits. Remember that we are treating the patient and not the disease.
Arnica is beneficial when very painful small boils appear one after another. Sulphur is useful when small boils appear in groups.
Fever – Urine stops often.
Chill – Thirst; crushing pain all over the body; bed seems too hard, so turns frequently to find a soft place, but frequent turning is painful.
Heat – Even slightest movement or removal of quilt feels cold; fever cannot be tolerated.
Sweat – Sweat smells like sour fungus.
Relations – Complementary relationship with Acon, Hyper and Rhus-tox.
Aggravation – By remaining still; lying down; by alcohol.
Amelioration – By movement (Rhus tox, Ruta).
Dose – 3rd to 30th potency. Mother tincture for local use, but should not be used in the form of hot solution. In injury, 1000 and 1 lakh potency.
